This July, the board of directors of IRB International Rugby Football announced the host country of the 2019 Rugby World Cup to Japan. Japan Rugby Football Union commented, “The Bledisloe Cup Tokyo will become the kick-off event of the next ten years of exciting rugby in Japan” and also added, “We would like the fans to enjoy and feel the excitement of the world top class rugby and imagine how exiting the finals of the 2019 Rugby World Cup will be, through the Bledisloe Cup”. Bledisloe Cup is contested by New Zealand's All Blacks and Australia's Wallabies. It is named after Lord Bledisloe, the former Governor-General of New Zealand. New Zealand and Australia travel to Tokyo for the fourth and final Bledisloe Cup Match in 2009 after the success of the 2008 Bledisloe Cup Hong Kong. The official supports are Lawson Ticket and The Yomiuri Shimbun. The broadcasting host is WOWOW.
